InterNACHI is the premier home inspector association, a true non-profit, and truly dedicated to using all of its efforts for the benefit of the home-buying public that they and their home inspectors serve. InterNACHI has been around for decades. In that time, they have pushed the industry upward to make home inspectors and the industry better. They also protect the public more than could be accomplished by home inspectors individually.
Inspecting homes is an incredibly knowledge-intensive industry – and one not to be taken lightly. InterNACHI’s primary means of protecting the public and raising the standards is through intensive training of their home inspectors. As an InterNACHI member, I have to pass their rigorous exams, follow their strict code of ethics, and follow their requirements for continuing education every year – among the most required of any association of its type. Why would anyone take a chance with a home inspector who isn’t a full member of InterNACHI? Contact us today!

FAQ – YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, WE HAVE ANSWERS
What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is an objective visual examination of accessible systems and components of a dwelling, from the foundation to the chimney cap. A home inspector is impartial, and has no interest in the sale or purchase of the house. It is important to know that home inspectors are generalists, not specialists. A home inspection is not unlike a visit to the family doctor for an annual check-up. In the event that problems are suspected in a particular system, a home inspector may refer you to a specialist, such as qualified electrical contractor, or structural engineer, for further evaluation. A home inspection is not an exhaustive, invasive evaluation of all the individual systems of a home. Such inspections usually require an industry specialist for each system (structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC etc.) and would be cost- prohibitive and in most cases unnecessary.
How long does an inspection take?
It depends on the size of the property. Most home inspections take about 3 hours, however larger dwellings can take 4-5 hours or more.
How do I find out the results of the home inspection?
You will receive a detailed home inspection report via email that presents the findings of your inspection within 24 hours. Your report will contain pictures of selected system defects along with recommendations for further actions if needed.
